Eating out in Singapore can come with a 10 per cent service charge. As restaurants adopt more self-service technology such as QR code ordering, diners may see less interaction with staff. This will not necessarily translate into less service charge, according to Prof Sumit Agarwal (Head, Dept of Real Estate).
