The road ahead: Combining HR with analytics

Companies are increasingly adopting data-driven approaches to manage their employees, but the new MSc in Human Capital Management & Analytics (MSc HCMA) programme aims to produce graduates who can rise to the challenge.

HR teams are increasingly using analytics to gain insights into their organisations’ workforce and capabilities. The same technology is also being used in the talent recruitment process. The new MSc HCMA programme provides a balance between building traditional HR skills and the analytical capabilities that are becoming increasingly important.

“We were very excited to have our first in-person Orientation since the pandemic began – with safety measures in place – to welcome our inaugural cohort of students for our MSc in Human Capital Management and Analytics programme! We look forward to partnering with them in this new chapter of their academic journey and the opportunities they can achieve in the future,” said Aaron Goh, Director, MSc Programmes Office.

The one-year full-time programme, targeted at young professionals with less than two years of working experience, includes modules on HR technology, HR core competencies such as compensation management and behavioural competencies such as managerial skills. The programme also provides experiential learning opportunities through industry engagement and internships.
