Some 120 recruiters were hosted by NUS Business School’s Career Services team to thank them for their contribution, as well as share and discuss development of talent for a VUCA – Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous – world.

The annual Recruiter’s Appreciation Lunch and NUS Business School Talent Forum on 15 July saw eminent Recruitment Heads and alumni come together to share their organisations’ practices and insights for recruitment, development and training of young professionals.
Human resource professionals and recruiters from leading companies of Singapore, such as Singapore Airlines, Unilever Asia, NTUC Income, L’Oreal Singapore, Ernst & Young, UOB, DBS and IE Singapore, attended the event.
The Panel Discussion: (L-R) Deputy Dean Professor Kulwant Singh (moderator); BBA alumnus Mr James Loo, Head of Talent Acquisition at DBS Bank; BBA alumnus Mr Frank Koo, Head of South East Asia at LinkedIn; Mr Glenn Loh, Head of Campus Recruitment and Development at UBS AG; Mr Joe Cunningham, Vice President of Risk Services at Visa Worldwide and NUS alumna Ms Cecilia Wong, Executive Director of WPP Group.
The panel discussion focussed around the skills required by young talent today to be relevant and attractive to employers as well as practices followed by organisations to retain and train them in today’s fast changing environment.
Also representing NUS Business School were Professor Susanna Leong, Vice-Dean, Graduate Studies; Mr Tan Soo Jin, Executive-in-Residence; Mr Jai Arya, Head of Executive Education, as well as select professional staff members from various units and departments of the School.
The annual event is organised by Career Services team to show gratitude to the School’s recruitment companies, who hire, retain and/or train the undergraduate and graduate students. It also provides an excellent opportunity to various participating companies to network and learn about industry hiring practices.
