To highlight how the industry is evolving, NUS Business School’s Career Services Office and Business Career Development Committee (BizCare) hosted a panel discussion “Marketing in 2019: Past vs Present.”

More than 50 BBA students heard from experts, including:

  • Glen Tan (Global Brand Manager at Unilever, BBA 2014)
  • Zaneta Tan (Global Brand Manager at Unilever, BBA 2014), and
  • Rachelle Marcaida (Senior Integrated Marketing Communication Manager at Coca-Cola)

Samantha Lee, former Vice-President of NUS Marketing Interactive (MINT), moderated the panel discussion, which brought up topics such as the evolution of marketing, rising trends and ways to stand out in a competitive market. The industry leaders also shared their personal academic journey, hard truths about marketing as a career choice and tips for students. The event culminated with a career fair consisting of various FMCG companies for students to network and have their questions answered.

“The panel discussion was highly insightful and informative for us! We are really fortunate to have these experienced marketers coming down to enlighten us about today’s marketing landscape”, said Lai Shu Wei, a Year 1 student and BizCare Events Sub-Committee Member.
