Deutsche Bank Holds Outreach Event at NUS Biz

BIZCareers regularly partners with leading organisations to hold outreach events for students to showcase and highlight both internship and graduate recruitment opportunities with prospective employers. Ahead of exam season, Deutsche Bank recently held a welfare drive to connect with students at the School’s Mochtar Riady Building atrium.

Deutsche Bank’s Early Careers team set up a stall on campus and met with several students over some much-appreciated sweet treats to share about the bank’s culture, internship and graduate opportunities, and why students should consider Deutsche Bank as the place to begin their career journeys.

The feedback from students has been very positive as they found the opportunity to meet up with Deutsche Bank’s Early Careers team an invaluable experience. For instance, Koh Jun Kai (BBA Year 2) felt the event was beneficial regarding his career planning.

“I found out about Deutsche Bank’s Welfare Drive from NUSTalentConnect and decided to drop by after class. The opportunity to network with the talent acquisition team at Deutsche Bank was very valuable and insightful as I was able to learn more about the programmes they offer, from the recruitment process to their day-to-day responsibilities, and this inspires and ties in well with the goals of my career journey and where I see myself in the years ahead,” he said.

We thank Deutsche Bank for being the first to hold an outreach event at the NUS Business School after the pandemic,” said Associate Director Eddie Phua, BIZCareers, the team behind the outreach events. “While technology has been a boon for finding employment, nothing beats person-to-person contact for making an impression,” he added.

Eddie also encouraged all NUS BIZ students to participate in similar in-person events in the future. “By meeting people from a company at such events, students will gain insights into the culture of an organisation, and you can also ask questions and find out more about the career and internship opportunities”.
