Organised frequently with our various alumni chapters around the world, our current students from various programmes always have the opportunity to network and learn from their seniors. In March, three such events happened in Delhi, Singapore and London.

NUS Executive MBA Forum and Networking Dinner in Delhi
Our NUS EMBA intake 27 students recently had their India segment together with Professor Jochen Wirtz. They studied Panasonic India‘s phenomenal growth, and IndiGo‘s successful training and employee motivation programme. Before going to India, the class also visited Intellectual Property Office of Singapore, where they heard real-life cases which helped them understand the importance of protecting patents. Their last visit to wrap the segment is at Rockwell Automation, Inc.
It was also the perfect chance to catch up with our Indian alumni, some of whom specially flew to Delhi for the event. We were privileged to have Mr Bhaskar Pramanik (Former Chairman, Microsoft India Pvt Ltd) and Ms Archana Jain (Managing Director, PR Pundit) take time off to talk about their experiences with our alumni and students about conducting business in India.
Mr Bhaskar shared his insights on the India market and even got the attendees to work on a Fintech challenge based on a problem faced by the State Bank of India where he is one of the independent board directors.
At the session, Ms Archana discussed about the important of brand building in India, and how diversity in the Indian population is a critical factor in ensuring brands are successful.
MSc Management & CEMS Alumni Networking Event 2019
Held in Singapore, about 80 students and 20 alumni from the MSc Management & CEMS programme got together for a fruitful discussion about Blockchain Technology moderated by Rotterdam School of Management CEMS alumnus, Joeri van Geelan (Class of 2011). The panel comprised:
- Mr. Alex Friedberg (Co-Founder, BXB Capital and KRWb);
- Mr Andrei Baghiuc (Ventures Partnerships Lead, ING Labs);
- Mr Sai Charitharth (Co-founder and Director, Shareable Assets);
- Mr Arun Pa (Chief Investment Officer, Kristal.ai); and
- Dr Marko Milek (Managing Director, Head of Data and Analytics APAC, State Street Global Exchange)
The panel discussed the current struggles for blockchain and cryptocurrency space, future of blockchain technology and how it would globally disrupt the modus operandi at governments, companies and private investors.
