Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment and Ministry of Transport

Dr Amy Khor spent over two decades serving Singapore with a focus on building a sustainable and efficient future. An alumna of the National University of Singapore (NUS), she graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate. She furthered her education by obtaining a PhD in Land Management from the University of Reading, UK.

Since becoming a Member of Parliament in 2001, Dr Khor has held various significant positions, including serving as Mayor of South West District from 2004 to 2014. In October 2015, she was appointed Senior Minister of State at the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, and in July 2020, she also took on the role of Senior Minister of State for Transport.

In her current capacities, Dr Khor focuses on practical solutions to tackle environmental challenges. She supports initiatives that assist local businesses to adopt energy-efficient technologies, reducing their energy consumption and operational costs. Recognising the importance of resource optimisation, Dr Khor places emphasis on integrated resource solutions, such as the Tuas Nexus. Her work also focuses on waste management, where she promotes the circular economy and the importance of reducing waste and recycling to minimise environmental impact and tackle climate change. In the transportation sector, Dr Khor is involved in promoting intelligent transport systems and leveraging technology to enhance Singapore’s transport infrastructure.
