On 28 January, Ms Jessica Tan, Co-CEO and Executive Director of Ping An Group met with a select group of senior business leaders to share her insights on accelerating business in China, and driving a successful technology-led transformation.
In a frank and open discussion, Ms Tan spoke about the state of the Chinese economy, the competitive advantages of Singapore firms, and her personal experiences as a Singaporean living and working in China. In Ms Tan’s eight years at Ping An, the Group grew from the world’s 30th largest financial conglomerate into the 5th, serving 634 million online users and 225 million financial customers. The Group has also made major strides in technology and innovation.
The discussion was moderated by Professor Bernard Yeung, Stephen Riady Distinguished Professor in Finance and Strategic Management at NUS Business School. It was jointly organised by the Strategic Relations team from NUS Business School and the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP).
